1. What is the Global Cancer Control Community?

In response to the increasing need for global connectivity between cancer control professionals across the world, the International Union Against Cancer (UICC) has created the Global Cancer Control Community.

The key objective of the community is to engage professionals and volunteers in the world wide fight against cancer.


2. Why join the community?

The main benefits of joining the community are:

-the opportunity to support and be part of a unique global cancer control community
-the opportunity to connect with peers and colleagues
-twelve month subscription to Global News Alert published monthly by John Wiley & Sons.
-access to the community's website online tools - be able to review discussion papers and participate in interest groups, access resources in the community's online library, access members-only services such as membership directory

-personal e-mail address @uicc-community.org

-reduced price on UICC and John Wiley and Sons's publications

-receive a certificate of recognition


3. Who can join the community?

The Community is open to:

-Healthcare workers engaged in primary and secondary cancer prevention, professional educations, supportive, psychosocial and palliative care

-Public health specialists involved in cancer control research and programme implementation

-Professional health promoters

-Staff at decision-level that work for cancer organizations, treatment centres, health institutes, health ministries and other governmental or non-governmental agencies

-Professionals working in the area of vaccines and cancer

-Leaders of patient advocacy groups

-Other professionals and volunteers engaged in cancer control work


4. How to join the community?

Registration online. To register please click on "Register" on the homepage or click here.

Registration is free of charge.


5. Administration of the community


The Global Cancer Control Community is administered by the UICC Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.
